Protected Designation of Origin (European Certification).
Made only from the legs of heavy Italian pigs. 
No added ingredients other than salt.
Dry cured in a strictly defined geographical area (the hills around Parma, northern Italy).
Dry cured for at least 12 months.
Finely cut slices enhance the meat’s rich fragrance and delicacy.
