Two certifications at European level for the typical quality of the prime deli meats
Negroni produces to the strict D.O.P. and I.G.P. standards to offer you the best by way of guarantee and safety for its protected products.

D.O.P. protected designation of origin (PDO)
The D.O.P. certification protects and safeguards the provenance and origin of a certain product, so that its distinguishing features can be essentially or exclusively traced back to the specific geographical area of provenance, both in terms of natural factors (climate, environmental characteristics), as well as human factors (production techniques handed down with time, hand-made quality of production processes). All the production, transformation and processing steps of a D.O.P. product must be carried out within a restricted geographical area and follow a well defined traditional recipe.

I.G.P. protected geographical indication (PGI)
This certification protects a product originating from a territory the quality, reputation, recipe and features whereof can be traced back to the geographical origin as long as at least one of the production, transformation and processing steps are carried out in the restricted area. Those producing in conformity to the D.O.P. and I.G.P. standards must strictly abide by the regulatory provisions and compliance with said regulations is controlled by an external organization to guarantee the end-consumer.
