Turkey meatballs, an irresistible recipe

Here’s how to make delicious turkey meatballs, a recipe that will come in handy for all sorts of occasions.

2 packets of Negroni Petto di Tacchino (Negroni turkey breast)
120 g ricotta cheese
1 egg
2 slices of pre-packed sliced bread 
30 g parmigiano reggiano (parmesan
Breadcrumbs
Nutmeg to taste 
Extra virgin olive oil
salt and pepper to taste

The Recipe:

  • Put the slices of Negroni turkey breast into a food processor, add the ricotta cheese and blend until you have a soft creamy mixture. Now transfer to a bowl.
  • Blitz the bread slices (without crusts) together with the egg.
  • Blend the 2 mixtures, add the parmesan, salt, pepper, nutmeg and some breadcrumbs.
  • Using your hands, shape the mixture into meatballs.
  • Place the meatballs on an oven tray covered with greaseproof paper and a drizzle of oil and bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 200° C.
     

These turkey meatballs make ideal nibbles when served with an aperitif or even as a starter for Sunday lunch; besides, kids cannot resist them and, when made from Negroni turkey breast, they are particularly light and tempting, from the very first bite.

Your guests will be most impressed when you offer them this irresistible finger food, enhanced by the sweetness of ricotta, and served with sauces of your choice, which make the perfect accompaniment for these delicious turkey meatballs.
