Cured ham with melon is a classic for Summer lunches and dinners, but there is also another fruit to be tried with it: the nectarine.

The sweetness of the nectarine, together with the freshness of this fruit, marries perfectly with the taste of Negroni cured ham. So, for your Summer snacks, for starters to be served with an aperitif amongst friends, or for all those little pangs of hunger, you can draw on a new recipe, rapid, easy and very light, to make a change from ham with melon.

For a starter of nectarines and cured ham, the idea is to create finger food with small mozzarella balls.

The Recipe:

Wash the nectarines very carefully in water with bicarbonate, or you may peel them to make sure that the peel does not detract from the dish. Cut each nectarine into 4 slices and lay them onto a serving dish. Divide the slices of cured ham into 8 portions, and then use tooth picks to add a mozzarella ball followed by a piece of ham. Arrange the amuse-bouches onto a serving dish, together with corn flour grissini.

Serve and enjoy!
