1 kg asparagus
2 packs Negroni PDO Parma Ham
70 g Grana Padano cheese
50 g butter
Salt and Pepper to taste

The Recipe:

  • Peel and trim the asparagus spears, taking care to eliminate the woody root ends.
  • Wash the asparagus well and boil it for 20 minutes in plenty of salted water.
  • Once cooked, strain and leave to cool.
  • Arrange the slices of Negroni PDO Parma Ham. on top of a chopping board.
  • Place a couple of asparagus spears (or more if your wish) on each slice and wrap them in the ham. 
  • Secure each bundle with a toothpick.
  • Melt the remaining butter in a saucepan over a low heat, taking care not to burn it. 
  • Place the asparagus wraps in a lightly buttered oven dish and pour over the melted butter.
  • Sprinkle everything with grated Grana Padano cheese.
  • Pop into the oven for 15 minutes at a temperature of 160°.
